The Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to invite you to our 1997 Open House. This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 27th from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and is being planned as our largest ever.
The firehouse is located at Belcrest and Queens Chapel Roads, just one block from Prince George's Plaza. Free parking and shuttle service will be available at the Prince George's Plaza Metro Station ... also a short 200-yard walk to the firehouse.
Fun and learning for the entire family is the goal of our free annual event. Among this year's planned activities:
Many live fire, rescue and police demonstrations throughout the day
Hector the Fire Safety Clown and his dog, Tag
MedEvac helicopter from Washington Hospital Center
Fire Safety Adventure Learning Course for the kids
Automatic prizes include pictures with the fire trucks & helmets!
Free health screenings, CPR demonstrations and course sign-up
Fire and rescue units on display from throughout the area
Fire station tours and new station model on display
Live DJ music, food and drink, fun for all ...
